I provide counseling for individuals of all ages who are dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and difficult life phase transitions. This includes couples who are having marital or relational difficulties. I am trained in and utilize play therapy to facilitate communication and self-understanding in children ages 3½ through 12. I make use of expressive art therapy and dream work to help people uncover and process deep-seated emotional issues. My overall orientation for both individual and couples work integrates an understanding of psychodynamic principles with newer relational models of psychotherapy and a deep appreciation of man’s spiritual needs and concerns.
My office hours are by appointment only, Monday through Friday and every other Saturday. I can be reached or you can leave a voice mail message for me at (317) 202-0801 or call or text me at 317-258-4595.
I have a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling from Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis IN and a Master’s in Education with a major in Community Counseling from Butler University. While I double majored in English Literature and Psychology as an undergraduate, I took my bachelor degree in psychology from Purdue University.
Additionally, I have specialized training in the psychology of the deaf from the University of Illinois, Dekalb where I was in residence, and I completed one course of study in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute.
